Was World War one an inevitable historical event? 

Historian Mark Calney speaking to a meeting of the LaRouche Movement on August 5, 2005, demonstrates that nothing could be further from the truth. World War one (and its continuation in WW2 can only be understood by realizing the power of the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Philidelphia and the spread of the American System internationally which the dying British Empire sought to undo at all costs.
