I now own a Rode PodMic USB and as I had read that it was compatible with mobile phones, I am trying to sort out my cable requirement.

Please advise.

I tried with an apple usb-c to lightning but that didn't seem to work. Do you know why? I'm curious. If someone knows or is it the case that it normally should work?

Then I tried purchasing an SC21 cable but then when I picked it up today, I realize I already own two of those cables and the SC21 is not any longer than the ones that came with the Wireless Me and the AI-Micro.*That's my mistake. I should have read the length specification.

So now the question is really this. How can I get a cable that's closer to one meter in length to go from the USB-C of the PodMic to my lightning connection on the iPhone 12 Pro?

*Suggestion:  Please add the cable requirement caveat gotcha for those with the lightning cable port on their iPhones on the website to help avoid this ordeal to the benefit of anyone in a similar situation.
